Profil professionnel
Troy McMullin mène un programme de recherche qui fait avancer notre connaissance du biote du lichen canadien. Il mène des études interdisciplinaires sur des collections de tout le pays, portant une attention spéciale aux régions, aux habitats et aux espèces mal compris.
Troy tente de résoudre des questions non résolues dans l'écologie des lichens en compilant des données de référence sur les régions méconnues et en dissipant les incertitudes taxonomiques par la morphométrie, la détermination des métabolites et des analyses phylogénétiques. Il s'intéresse présentement aux forêts boréales et aux régions arctiques du Canada.
