In this fun and popular workshop, students test, observe, describe and sort their way through 16 species of rocks and minerals.

Identify igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks by their characteristics. Follow procedures and use tools to perform experiments that reveal mineral properties. Be able to explain the difference between rocks and minerals and gain an appreciation for the ways they are useful, fascinating, and beautiful!

Duration: 50 minutes.

  • Workshop start times: 9:45 am, 11 am, 12:15 pm.
