As Curator of the Mineralogy Collection, Erika Anderson is in charge of preserving some of Canada's geological collections.
She completed her B.Sc. in Earth and Planetary Sciences at McGill University and her M.Sc. in Earth Sciences at Carleton University.
At Carleton, she researched the physical volcanology and geochemistry of Upsal Hogback, a volcano in Nevada, U.S.A.
Prior to her M.Sc., she worked for Shell Canada and Osisko Mining, and before her move to the museum she volunteered at the Royal Ontario Museum in the collections of their Earth and Space Section.
