Frequently Asked Questions
May we visit the museum before or after?
Yes! Please visit our permanent galleries! The price of general admission is covered in the birthday-party cost.
Are movies, special exhibitions, etc., included?
Additional fees apply to 3D movies, special exhibitions, and etc. (everything except general admission, which includes an ultra-high definition movie). See What's On.
May I bring siblings?
Siblings are welcome—and will count towards the guest total.
May I invite extra guests? How much will that be?
We can make accommodations for very large parties, so please enquire about hosting more than the usual maximum number of people.
May I bring my own food?
You may bring your own cake. This will require you to bring your own dishes and cutlery as well.
Do I need to bring cutlery, plates and decorations?
- Cutlery and plates: For food ordered through our caterer, dishes, etc., are included. If you are bringing your own cake, bring everything that you will need to serve it.
- Decorations: We've got that covered! No need to bring anything.
May I bring balloons or a piñata?
- Helium balloons are not allowed in the museum. They sometimes escape and get stuck at our unreachably high ceilings. Did you know that helium is an endangered element?
- While piñatas are fun, we have no way to hang them.
Does the museum give out loot bags?
No, but we invite you to shop at the boutique on the ground floor.
What about parking?
We have two paid parking lots on site. There is also limited on-street parking around the museum, which is free on weekends. The museum is also accessible by city bus. Directions.
Where do we meet?
Enter the museum at the main doors, and then gather inside near the ground-floor exit on the east side ("East Group Entrance"). A visitor-services representative will meet you there and take your group to the party room.
When do I pay?
We will contact you within a few days of your request in order to confirm your booking; payment is due at that time.
