Canadian Museum of Nature closed effective Saturday, March 14, until further notice

OTTAWA, March 13, 2020 – Due to the COVID-19 virus, the Canadian Museum of Nature, along with the other national museums of Canada, have decided to close to visitors and all other groups, effective Saturday, March 14 and until further notice.

“The well-being of our visitors, clients and staff is of utmost importance,” says Meg Beckel, President and CEO of the Canadian Museum of Nature. “We regret the impact of this decision on the individuals, families and groups who use our facilities; however, we believe that this decision is in the best interests of all the communities we serve.”

Internal operations such as research, collections care, exhibit development, and essential services, such as animal care, will continue throughout the period.

Updates on this temporary closure will be posted on the Museum’s web site: nature.ca.
