Projets

Taxonomie

• Description d’une nouvelle espèce de lime géante (Mollusca; Bivalvia, Limidae; Acesta nov. sp.) de l’Atlantique nord-ouest.
• Description d’une nouvelle espèce de ver polychète (Annelida; Polychaeta; Chaetopteridae; Chaetopterus nov. sp.) de l’estuaire du St-Laurence.
• Variations morphologiques et génétiques à travers les populations du crabe “demoiselle” (Crustacea; Decapoda; Portunidae; Ovalipes ocellatus) le long de la côte est de l’Amerique du nord.

Écologie

• Observations dans un mésocosme de la langoustine fouisseuse Calocaris templemani (Decapoda: Thalassinidea) et de ses activités bioturbatrices dans les sédiments meubles du Chenal Laurentien.
• Variations temporelles dans la structure des communautés marines benthiques des profondeurs de l’Estuaire du St-Laurent observées lors d’expériences en mésocosmes.
• Écologie des amphipodes nécrophages (Crustacea: Peracarida; Gammaridea; Anonyx spp.) des communautés benthiques profondes de l’Estuaire du St-Laurent.
• Bioturbation par les invertébrés des communautés benthiques profondes de l’Estuaire du St-Laurent et leurs impacts sur le transport des substances chimiques.

Morphologie functionelle

• Morphologie des épines associée au comportement d’enfouissage de l’oursin bilatéral Brisaster fragilis (Echinodermata; Echinoidea; Spatangoida).
• Relation fonctionelle entre la morphologie des langoustines fouisseuses (Thalassinidea; Callianassidae) et l’architecture des terriers.
