Be sure to check out some live science being done right at the museum on weekends.

Our active research and collections care takes place all year long at our special facility in Gatineau, Quebec.

To show you some of the work that we do in preparing our valuable specimens, we're bringing some of our specialists to you.

Fossil Preparation—Live
Saturday afternoons
Watch as fossil dinosaur and mammal bones are extracted from their field jackets by our preparators. Kids (and adults!) also get a chance to dig out real dinosaur fossils—they're millions of years old! And, meet and chat with real palaeontologists.
Location: Talisman Energy Fossil Gallery

Plant-Mounting for the National Herbarium of Canada
Sunday afternoons (except August 21)
