Are you bold enough to go nose to nose with an awe-inspiring collection of insects, arachnids and slugs?

This is your opportunity to discover a few exotic creatures and get reacquainted with some familiar favourites. You might even recognize several from your own backyard!

  • Get to know some hairy tarantulas.
  • Learn about camouflage and try to spot the cagey leaf insect.
  • Find out why chafers roll themselves in dung.
  • Discover why hissing cockroaches hiss.
  • See a snail bigger than your fist.
  • Learn how the vinegaroon got its name.
  • Meet an amblypigid (hint: it's the star of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire).

And, if your family needs a break from all the action, enjoy a quieter moment in the children's area with toys and books, where the fun is a little less wriggly!
