Parking

Cars

Paid parking is available on the Canadian Museum of Nature grounds (see map).

Rates

  • $2.50 per half hour
  • maximum of $12 per day
  • after 4:30 pm, pay a flat rate of $5.

Payment methods

  • using the pay station in the museum foyer: Cash, VISA, MasterCard
  • using the pay station at the parking-lot exit gate: VISA, MasterCard.

Please note that our parking lots fill up quickly.

Alternatively, metered street parking and private parking lots are also available nearby.

Buses

For tour and school buses, there is a passenger drop-off area on the east side of the museum.

Four bus parking spaces are available near the museum, on Metcalfe Street (see map). The museum parking lot cannot accommodate buses.

You can also find free or paid parking for tour buses in downtown Ottawa and in Gatineau, Quebec. Visit the City of Ottawa web site for more information.

A bicycle rack is available for cyclists at the museum.

The museum has reserved parking for visitors with disabilities.

There is a drop-off area near the main entrance of the museum.
