Videoconferencing

Bring a Scientist into Your Classroom!
Visit the Canadian Museum of Nature without leaving your school: Our videoconferencing programme provides you with the option to connect live with a museum educator who will use museum specimens, examples of field research and scientific data to explore a topic related to your science curriculum.
We welcome schools from all across Canada to take part in our videoconferencing series. We encourage schools in remote regions of Canada to take advantage of this excellent learning opportunity to "bring the scientist into your classroom".

Roger Bull, a museum scientist, in a lab.
Topics include biodiversity, invasive species, conservation, classification, evolution and climate change, among others. Pre-videoconference activities are available to be used in class ahead of time so students can prepare for the live workshop.
Your videoconference must be booked at least three weeks in advance. Museum education staff will answer your questions and discuss adapting the programme to your needs.
It's Easy to Connect
All that is required on your end for the videoconference is Internet Protocol videoconferencing equipment. Check with your technology support staff to see if they can make the necessary arrangements, or contact us for more information. Museum education staff are available to answer your questions and discuss adapting the programme to your needs.
